BRIC Foundation 'Summit'
Role: Design Lead /2D Animator
I was so excited to lead design for the first time for The BRIC Foundation's 2021 Summit Manifesto. BRIC is an amazing non-profit that seeks to transform the entertainment and tech industries by increasing inclusivity and getting women and under represented groups into creative leadership positions. This year they had a virtual summit and we at Scholar created a visual manifesto for them to play at the summit. And if that wasn't cool enough, BRIC took inspiration from the visuals we created and based their re-branding on it.
Starting off with a script, several designers and I interpreted different parts of it which CD Will Johnson and I then strung together into a storyboard. After polishing some moments, the team unified all of the designs through a shared color palette and textures/patterns. We then jammed out on animation. I helped animate strings of shots in AE alongside other AE animators and even cell animators. A lot of different ideas came together to create this piece that speaks to BRIC's message of inclusivity and diversity of perspectives.
